UX Research, UI Design, Branding

The project spanned over 1–2 months, beginning with defining the problem space and understanding the need for meaningful employee recognition in the workplace. This was followed by UX research, which included analyzing similar platforms to identify gaps in their features and overall experience. Conversations with company colleagues provided further insights into real-world challenges and expectations. These findings informed the design direction, leading to the development of high-fidelity designs, interactive prototypes, and final presentations.

Many companies offer perks like pay raises and flexible schedules but overlook a key human need — recognition. When employees feel unappreciated, motivation and retention suffer. As highlighted by CNBC, regular recognition is one of the most effective ways to keep employees engaged, yet it's often missing from workplace culture.

To understand the problem in more detail and see if users actually felt this gap, I interviewed colleagues across different roles. These conversations gave me valuable insights into how recognition is experienced in real work environments and what people expect from a platform like this. Based on these findings, I created 2 user personas.

Using what I learned from the interviews, I found the main problems users faced with recognition and engagement. This helped me focus on improving communication, making contributions more visible, and creating a more engaging experience. These ideas guided the design to better meet users’ needs.

Based on these insights, I designed a platform that helps everyone’s efforts get noticed and celebrated, creating a more positive and engaged workplace.

To bring the platform to life, I selected Lato for its clean, modern, and highly readable typography, which supports a clear and friendly user experience. The bright sea green color was chosen to convey energy, growth, and positivity—aligning with the platform’s goal to boost motivation. Additionally, a well-structured sitemap was created to ensure intuitive navigation and seamless user flow across all sections of the product.

In conclusion, my vision is to create an online workspace that encourages employee recognition across diverse teams while fostering a culture of continuous improvement through feedback. Credo empowers this vision.
